Italian techno duo Fireground released Refreshing Part 2 on April 3, 2026, via Tresor Records. The EP follows their 2023 release of the same name.
Fireground describes the concept of the EP as “balancing” rather than “resetting,” emphasizing direction over restart.
“not about resetting, but about balancing. Refreshing means reconnecting with the present and with the future…focusing on one’s own way in order to prevent the flow from becoming automatic, uncontrolled, and without orientation. It is more a direction than a path.”
The 12” vinyl release consists of four tracks and includes a download code for the digital release. Each track explores different rhythmic and textural variations within a club-oriented framework.
“The Way” opens with a stripped-down sense of intensity, while “Elisir” expands the flow with a lighter and more fluid character.
“Activate” shifts the momentum with a stronger drive, while “Family Trees” concludes the release through a repetitive percussive structure.
A digital-only track, “Fixed in Flux,” extends the release’s concept further, maintaining a sense of direction within ongoing change.
