Creative careers rarely follow a single path. DJs become creative directors, photographers launch fashion labels, and artists move between disciplines. Yet access to collaborators, professional networks and industry opportunities remains uneven. Ex to X aims to address this gap by creating new connections between FLINTA* creatives across contemporary city culture.
Founded by cultural strategist and creative producer Angelique Houben and model and entrepreneur Stefanie Giesinger, Ex to X is a new platform designed to connect creative talent across music, fashion, art, food and drinks, sport, wellness and design. Its focus extends beyond visibility, aiming to turn connections into meaningful collaborations and lasting professional opportunities.
The platform held its first gathering in Berlin on July 31, bringing together music, art, hospitality and conversation in a multidisciplinary cultural program. The day-to-evening event began with coffee and matcha, creating space for connection and collaboration, before moving into DJ sets and alcohol-free wine in the evening.
The program featured DJ sets curated by Hoemies, with performances from Meg10, Vicx, ANITA B QUEEN and Tedesco. Live music came from Goldie 333 and Dimi Rompos, while the participating creatives also represented visual art, photography, creative direction, food and drinks curation, and styling. All artists, DJs, musicians, chefs, designers, curators and creative collaborators involved in the launch event were members of the FLINTA* community.
For Houben, the project draws inspiration from queer and FLINTA* spaces, particularly nightlife as a place for community, freedom, self-expression and cultural exchange. Giesinger similarly sees contemporary city culture as a fluid intersection of disciplines, shaped by people who move beyond conventional professional categories.
Ex to X is now developing its community through gatherings and a digital platform intended to increase visibility for emerging creative talent. Through its website, creatives can register and present their work through portfolios, as well as share the skills they want to contribute and the areas they are curious to explore.
The initiative is envisioned as an evolving platform, with future collaborations, programming and formats planned as it develops. In the longer term, its founders hope to establish a permanent physical space where creative exchange and collaboration can happen naturally.
With Ex to X, Houben and Giesinger are building a platform around a simple idea: meaningful encounters can open new directions, connecting people and disciplines to shape what comes next.
