For Berlin Fashion Week 2025, French designer Lou de Bètoly unveiled a new capsule collection inside the atmospheric setting of Auguststraße 35. Across three days—July 1st (4–9 PM), July 2nd (12–7 PM), and July 3rd (1–4 PM)—guests stepped into a curated gallery space designed for slowing down and looking closer. Here, fashion was not just displayed but experienced, offering a dialogue between past seasons, present experimentation, and future possibilities.

Reconstructed Simplicity
Lou de Bètoly’s capsule centers around transformation—a theme expressed through mini dresses constructed from repurposed menswear tank tops. Each garment is elevated with signature embellishments and intricate fabric manipulations, echoing motifs from the designer’s February 2025 collection.

The pieces embody a unique tension: raw yet refined, accessible yet artful.

Accessories with Attitude
Extending the collection’s narrative, the capsule also introduced a range of eclectic, statement-making accessories. Firstly, delicate hair clips and jeweled thongs added playful accents, while sculptural handbags and baroque-inspired gloves introduced a dramatic edge. Moreover, hand-crocheted nails pushed the collection further, turning small details into bold statements. Together, these pieces reimagined the everyday and, as a result, reinforced the brand’s reputation for finding beauty in the unexpected.

An Immersive World by Tim Heyduck
The exhibition’s concept and creative direction, orchestrated by Tim Heyduck, seamlessly elevated the capsule into an immersive encounter. As guests entered, the gallery gradually unfolded into a hushed, imaginative space, carefully designed to reflect the collection’s duality of intimacy and subversion. Through soft lighting, thoughtfully curated spatial arrangements, and a deliberately contemplative pace, visitors were encouraged to slow down, observe closely, and connect with each design on a personal level. In doing so, the presentation gently blurred the line between traditional fashion showcase and contemporary installation art.
