Titled ‘GANGSTAAA – a Game of Your Own Rules’ the collection deliberately leans into provocation. Rather than alluding to crime, the name is used as a powerful metaphor for defiance and self-determination. It reflects an unapologetic attitude, celebrating individuality and the courage to stand apart, while playfully questioning established social norms and expectations.
Presented on January 30th at NLND Berlin, the show opened with a bold sense of theatricality. Drawing inspiration from the upcoming Wuthering Heights remake, Kilian set a dark, emotionally charged tone from the first look. He introduced two sculptural, all-black ensembles that captured the film’s brooding romance.
Kilian Kerner’s latest collection thrives on bold imagery and striking contrasts. Streetwear collides with Old Hollywood glamour, blending urban nonchalance with exaggerated elegance. Fake fur coats, coated faux leather, denim, and chiffon appear side by side, enriched with sequins, embroidery, and shimmering crystals. The color palette moves between black, cream, brown, and green, repeatedly punctuated by flashes of vivid pink.
Rooted in contrast, attitude, and cinematic flair, the collection captured the restless energy of Berlin while challenging ideas of elegance, rebellion, and identity. Kilian Kerner will extend the GANGSTAAA story at Paris Fashion Week on March 3, 2026, unveiling the second installment of the collection at the iconic Opéra Garnier.
