UNVAIN’s Spring/Summer 2027 collection, SKINS, explores fashion as the layer between a person and the world. Drawing inspiration from the British television series Skins, each look begins with a single sentence describing a character. Rather than starting with a moodboard or colour story, every garment is built outward from these written portraits.

Founded in Berlin in 2020 by Robert Friedrichs, UNVAIN has built its identity around a simple but uncompromising premise: beauty that doesn’t require polish. The name itself, meaning “not vain”, reflects the label’s philosophy, while its raw-chic aesthetic balances roughness with softness, severity with tenderness. Following its runway debut with AW26, SKINS marks the brand’s second season.

The show takes place at Berlin’s ICC (International Congress Centre), an iconic example of 1970s Brutalist architecture. The venue’s grand scale and unapologetic character mirror the brand’s own design philosophy. UNVAIN continues its collaboration with fragrance house RYOKO through a large-scale scent installation, creating an immersive experience throughout the show.

The collection emphasizes luxury with imperfection. Lace, deadstock leather, upcycled fur and sheer fabrics appear throughout the collection. UNVAIN layers these materials to create contrasts between softness and structure. Aged fabrics give the garments a sense of history, while silhouettes transition between oversized outerwear and delicate pieces.
