After playing last year at the Keyi x Säule event, Eyes Dice is more than ready for another electric night at the venue.
The event will also feature the work of the amazing Ma Defan, a Beijing-based fine artist and costume designer.

Her multidisciplinary practice includes calligraphy, installation, and site-specific works rooted in nature and personal reflection. She believes that “Art is Dialogue.” Her brush and ink pieces explore emotional landscapes and the connection between humans and the natural world.

In her series The Twenty-Four Solar Terms, Ma writes outdoors on large fiber materials tied to the changing seasons. Each piece is created on-site and documented through video and photography, capturing both process and presence. Her work blends tradition and experimentation, using styles like “hieroglyphic book” and “zuosȟu book.”

The result is bold, expressive calligraphy that feels alive and deeply personal. Her art invites viewers to pause, listen, and connect with nature, time, and the self.
