Danny Reinke on “The Hunt” at SS26 Berlin Fashion Week

Danny Reinke presented his SS26 collection “The Hunt” with CollectiveFour at the Uber Arena alongside Marcel Ostertag and Kilian Kerner.

Danny Reinke has built his brand on high-level craftsmanship translated into modern elegance. His SS26 collection, The Hunt, delivered the brand’s usual elegance paired with fantasy and organic romanticism. The palette was rich greens, purples, and cream, with touches of texture and text to fill in the storyline.

Inspirations came from the Unicorn Tapestries from the late 15th century, using the unicorn as a motif to convey the search for purity, innocence, self-actualization, and fantasy in our modern world.

Historical references to the Middle Ages and Renaissance came through in puffed sleeves, bodice detailing, and romantic color-ways. The contrast between darker and lighter colors, harsher and softer silhouettes suggested both the hunt and the freedom on the other side.

Through CollectiveFour, Danny Reinke, Marcel Ostertag and Kilian Kerner partnered to share a venue, afterparty, and a joint non-profit collection C4DR, Collection for Doctors. The collection was created for doctors to provide “functional support in their day-to-day work, but also convey a feeling of safety, appreciation and well-being.”

Through this charity initiative the designers hope to “redefine the understanding of workwear: fashionable, functional, innovative – and above all, appreciative.”
