Bondage Factory is a fashion brand led by Rodrigo Cabrera, unveils its new Autumn/Winter 2025–26 collection. Titled “Alchemy” a powerful intersection of historical reference, transformative materials, and genderless sensuality.

Rooted in the ancient philosophical practice of alchemy and the mysterious allure of “Las Tapadas”. Women of 18th and 19th century Peru, the collection draws inspiration from themes of concealment, resistance, and symbolic transformation.

In “Alchemy,” these two worlds merge into a bold visual language. Recycled materials are transformed into one-of-a-kind pieces, combining raw textures, veiled silhouettes, and sculptural tailoring that evoke mystery, elegance, and genderless power.

Alchemy, long regarded as an enchanting fusion of magic, mystery, and proto-science. Sought to transform ordinary materials into extraordinary treasures, most famously turning base metals into gold. The Tapadas of Lima, women who artfully veiled their faces and identities beneath flowing layers of fabric. Enacted a subtle yet powerful form of transformation. By concealing their faces, the Tapadas navigated and at times quietly pushed back against colonial social constraints. Using dress as a strategy for coded agency and social mobility. Just as the alchemist reshaped the essence of material. The Tapada redefined identity, visibility, and power through layered fabric and the choreography of concealment.

SUSTAINABILITY & DESIGN VISION

The materials used for this collection have been recycled to create new pieces that align with our concept. Additionally, we reintroduced garments from previous collections, breathing new life into them by reshaping their silhouettes. Updating their materials, and recontextualizing their purpose within the framework of the current collection. Through careful redesign and creative repurposing, these pieces were transformed into bold new proposals. Blending sustainability with innovation, and memory with forward-thinking design. We plan to intensify this practice by acquiring more recycled materials and continuously turning them into new creations.

Moreover, the brand’s design vision embraces cross disciplinary collaboration. Together with Berlin-based artists, it creates unique pieces, including 3D-printed bags, hand-tattooed garments, and beyond. These are designs of an experimental, genderless ready-to-wear proposal that blends sustainability, technology, and identity.
