On August 4th, New York-based designer Alix Pietrafesa, founder and creative director of ALIX OF BOHEMIA, debuted her highly anticipated Resort 2026 Collection. Titled Nocturne D’oré (“Golden Nocturne”), the collection is a daring fusion of opulence and rebellion—a bold celebration of contrasts.

Symbolism in Motion
Motifs of birds and horses—symbols of freedom and femininity—appear throughout the collection, galloping across both structured silhouettes and fluid fabrics. Meanwhile, Art Nouveau-inspired florals pay homage to Klimt’s era, blooming in soft rebellion across pieces that echo both historic elegance and modern freedom.
”I wanted to stay true to the spirit of the seventies, and so instead of leaning into delicacy or romance, Nocturne Doré tempers its ornamentation with a sense of attitude and irreverence. The luminous, textural richness of the collection is balanced by a darker, more graphic sensibility.”
Alix Pietrafesa, ALIX OF BOHEMIA founder and designer

Klimt Meets Rock-and-Roll
Drawing direct inspiration from Gustav Klimt’s gilded artistry, Pietrafesa infuses her garments with luminous gold detailing, layered against a striking palette of black-and-white graphics. The visual richness evokes Klimt’s sensual world while anchoring it with ALIX OF BOHEMIA’s signature 1970s rock-and-roll edge.

Inside the Gold: My Evening at ALIX OF BOHEMIA’s Resort 2026 in Berlin
By Semina Goren
On a golden Berlin evening, I had the chance to attend the exclusive preview of ALIX OF BOHEMIA’s Resort 2026 Collection – Nocturne D’oré. Held in an intimate, artfully lit space, the event felt like stepping into a Klimt painting—alive with texture, contrast, and quiet glamour.
The collection stunned in person. Flowing fabrics shimmered with gold, while bold black-and-white graphics created striking silhouettes. The tension between softness and strength, rebellion and refinement, was palpable. Each piece carried an energy that felt both nostalgic and refreshing.
What impressed me most was the craftsmanship. From delicate hand embroidery to rich woven textures, every detail reflected the work of global artisans. The storytelling through fabric, symbolism, and silhouette was as thoughtful as it was beautiful.
