Charlie Le Mindu presents his music project MUCHAS PROBLEMAS, marking a new step in his creative work. Known for his work across fashion and art, he has collaborated with a wide range of artists as a designer and artistic director. With this project, he introduces his own musical work.
Charlie Le Mindu began his career with the French electro-punk band Kap Bambino and later collaborated with Peaches. He has also worked with artists including Doja Cat, TR/ST, Troye Sivan, Angèle, Lady Gaga, Cobrah, Yseult and La Femme.
MUCHAS PROBLEMAS was launched together with Raphaël, Romain and Simon, musicians from the French rock scene. The project draws on influences from show business and queer nightlife, alongside personal experiences expressed through lyrics and performance. Musically, it combines elements of post-punk, industrial and darkwave with techno. The project’s lead single, Take Me In, explores themes of trust, presence, and bodily connection, with lyrics and rhythm emphasizing intentionality and sensation.

We spoke with Charlie Le Mindu about his new music project MUCHAS PROBLEMAS, his creative process, and the inspirations behind his sound.

When creating the ‘Muchas Problemas EP’, what experiences or emotions did you most want to capture?
Muchas Problemas is my personal release. It’s me without control or approval. I wanted to capture what it feels like to carry things for years and finally let them out.
It reflects how I actually feel, not how I am expected to behave.
For a long time I created for other people through hair and fashion. This is different. This is fully mine. It’s about taking what hurts or embarrasses you and putting it on stage with no shame.
Where do you find your musical and artistic inspiration?
I’m inspired by real moment. By people around and inside me. By the tension between beauty and discomfort.
Hair has always been my first form of expression. Music feels similar to me. It’s emotional material that make you moves I need to control those moves
You can shape it and push it until it says something honest.

Looking ahead, what new directions or ideas are you excited to explore in your future work?
I want the live shows to become more immersive. Less like a standard concert and more like stepping into my world.
I’m interested in merging music with performance and installation. I don’t separate these things in my head.
Musically, I want to go deeper like bodies. I want stronger production but still keep the raw energy. This project is not temporary. It’s something I plan to build over time.
