Solomun and Skrillex have officially released their first-ever collaboration, “Rumpta,” following months of previews across their live performances. The track arrived on July 1 and brings together two of electronic music’s most recognized artists for a highly anticipated release.
Before its official release, “Rumpta” had been featured in both artists’ recent live sets, building anticipation among their audiences. Solomun played the track at several major performances, including his special show at Tehmplo Tulum, his two sold-out nights at Alexandra Palace in London, and his acclaimed set at EDC Las Vegas in May, where the track was highlighted as one of the defining moments of the event.
The track features vocals inspired by classic house while incorporating a contemporary edge, alongside a groove built for peak-time moments. Combining elements from both artists’ production styles, “Rumpta” reflects the distinct approaches that Solomun and Skrillex have developed throughout their careers in electronic music.
The release was followed by another meeting between the two artists on July 5, when Skrillex joined Solomun at Pacha Ibiza for Solomun’s long-running Solomun +1 residency. The appearance came after their previous B2B performance at the same residency in 2025, when Skrillex appeared as a special guest during the Ibiza season.
For Solomun, the collaboration arrives during a significant year that also marks the 20th anniversary of Diynamic Music, the label he founded. Over the past two decades, Solomun has built his reputation through his work as a DJ, producer, and curator, while continuing to develop the Solomun +1 series and support emerging artists through Diynamic. Known for sets that connect house, techno, and tech-house influences, Solomun continues to perform at clubs, festivals, and special events around the world, including major stages such as Glastonbury and Coachella.
“Rumpta” is available now worldwide across all major streaming platforms.
