Riso workshop
Join upcoming Riso for cats print workshop 15/08/25 Friday starting at 18:30 to 22:00. We’ll work at the cozy studio of Drucken3000 Risografie in Berlin Mitte – hidden in a beautiful green garden. We’ll get to know the Japanese wonder the Riso machine learn the principles of Riso printings, draw, cut, paste and create beautiful mini posters with your amazing design! We will be working in a small group in a creative and fun atmosphere and if the weather allows, we will work outside in the garden.
Tamar Moshkovitz (Go-Team)
Illustrator, designer, and animator based in Berlin (originally from Haifa, Israel). She graduated from the Visual Communication department at Wizo College of Design in Haifa in 2003. She works as a freelance visual artist, serving clients across various media, TV, web, publishing, fashion, toys and also dedicates time to her own art projects and exhibitions. Tamar has also been active in education, teaching illustration and design at Israeli colleges since 2007. She’s a co-creator of Plushood plush dolls and animation shorts, developed with her partner Shlomi Schillinger. Her playful passions include toys, animated films, gelatin food, cats, and the delightfully silly side of life.
Riso printing
A bit like a cross between a photocopier, screen printing, and offset printing but in a small, creative studio format. The RISO machine (which looks like a large office copier) works on a stencil principle. Each page is printed through a master sheet wrapped around an ink drum.Each color is printed separately if your artwork has two colors, the paper runs through the machine twice, once for each ink drum. Because the colors are printed in layers, they can overlap, creating new shades and interesting transparency effects.
You’ll learn all RiSO basics and how to make beautiful RiSO printed Artworks with your own original design! We’ll draw, cut, glue and print in a chill 3000 garden atmosphere (if weather …!!
