INFLUX: Marina Zumi takes over Studio 1111 for one night

On November 27, Berlin-based artist Marina Zumi presents INFLUX, a one-night takeover of Studio 1111, featuring an immersive presentation of textile art, light, and movement.

INFLUX combines large-scale textile installations with light sculpture and new media mapping to create a responsive, living environment that brings together central elements of Zumi’s practice. From the tactile precision of sewing to the fluid choreography of interactive light, the installations explore the dynamic interaction between interiority and exteriority, personal and public space, and the contrast between stillness and intensity in the modern world.

The project is realized in collaboration with Multiscalar (video mapping) and Nazareno Amantek (light engineering), who contribute technical precision and creative expertise to the immersive environment. The exhibition is presented with curatorial support from Nils Petersen / Flipping the Coin.

Sound plays a central role in the experience. Alys Alys Alys, Chami, Tapefeed, and Coquinati & Endrew (Hybrid set) will perform live, creating soundscapes and electronic compositions that interact with Zumi’s installations, shaping the spatial rhythm of the night. Culinary contributions by chef Gabriele Locorotondo further expand the experience, making INFLUX a multisensory event where visual, auditory, and gustatory elements coexist.

For one night only, Studio 1111 is transformed into the world of INFLUX. The combination of light, textiles, and sound creates a living composition, inviting visitors to immerse themselves in the flow and reconnect with the subtle rhythms beneath everyday life.
