After two years of waiting, DGTL Santiago returns with an explosive line-up for its third edition at Espacio Riesco on December 7th

Tras dos años de espera, este 7 de diciembre en Espacio Riesco celebramos nuestra tercera edición de DGTL Santiago con un Line Up Explosivo.

In order to achieve relevance a festival requires a unique formula; DGTL was conceived in the Netherlands and consists of three basic ingredients: MUSIC + ARTS + SUSTAINABILITY. The biggest concern designing this mix was the actual balance among leading names in the music and arts scene, rising discoveries and local treasures; the known and the new.

Para lograr la trascendencia, un festival requiere una fórmula única; la de DGTL fue concebida en Holanda y tiene tres ingredientes básicos: MÚSICA + ARTE + SUSTENTABILIDAD. Una de las grandes preocupaciones en el diseño de esa mezcla es el balance efectivo entre nombres que lideran las escenas del arte y la música, descubrimientos y tesoros locales en ascenso; lo conocido y lo nuevo.

Turning raw or industrial sceneries into avant-garde stages, as well as summoning talented VJs and light artists to produce immersive experiences, are also distinctive elements of the DGTL equation.

Many festivals claim to be platforms for arts and electronic music, but no other gives the significance DGTL gives to revolutionary projects that explore or experiment around sustainability. Everyone is concerned with the impact behind events like festivals, but very few take actual measures such as serving only plant-based food or getting rid of all single-use plastics. In 2022 DGTL became completely sustainable and 100% circular, but the goal is even more ambitious: to be the most sustainable festival in the world.

También son elementos distintivos de DGTL el convertir emplazamientos toscos o industriales en escenarios vanguardistas y convocar a talentosos VJ’s y artistas lumínicos para ofrecer experiencias envolventes a partir de proyecciones y la manipulación de la luz. Muchos festivales se proponen ser una plataforma para el arte y la música electrónica, pero ningún otro da la cabida que DGTL ofrece a proyectos revolucionarios que exploran y experimentan en torno a la sustentabilidad. Preocupa a todos el impacto de los eventos masivos, pero no muchos toman acciones concretas como ofrecer exclusivamente comida plant-based y prescindir completamente de plásticos de un solo uso. DGTL avanzó a ser completamente sustentable y 100% circular en 2022, pero el objetivo más ambicioso: ser el festival más sustentable del mundo.

All of these ideas are embedded in the DGTL concept and have made it a global event, which lands easily in very different cities, achieving a distinctive identity. From its first version in Amsterdam in 2013, DGTL has spread to Tel Aviv Mumbai, Sao Paulo, Nueva Deli; we are very lucky to have it in Santiago too.

Todos estas ideas contenidas en el concepto DGTL han hecho de él un evento masivo de alcance global, que puede instalarse y alcanzar identidad en ciudades tremendamente diversas. Desde su primera versión en Ámsterdam en 2013 se ha expandido a Tel Aviv, Mumbai, Sao Paulo, Nueva Delhi y tenemos la suerte de tenerlo desde 2018 en Santiago.

DGTL is notorious for the quality of its production and also for surprises. Nevertheless, there are some things that can be expected:

-An entrance that avoids queues and, by presenting the name in an artistic/creative manner, shows in advance the contents of the festival.

-Stages with high levels of design, which focus on structures rather than in ornaments, functional to the music that is played on them.

-Different forms of installations conceived along with artists especially for the festival.

-Comfortable facilities in the right proportion for the amount of people attending the event. Bars and food trucks with their own identity.

-An energy saving intelligent plan, which reduces about 40% the consumption.

The very expected return of DGTL

After two years of global silence, DGTL is back. Bringing tens of thousands of electronic music lovers together under the bass.

La producción de DGTL se caracteriza por la calidad y la sorpresa, pero hay ciertas cosas que se pueden esperar:

Un acceso expedito que generalmente despliega las letras de DGTL de manera creativa/artística, adelantando los contenidos del festival.
Escenarios con altos niveles de diseño, el que se enfoca en las estructuras más que en la ornamentación, funcionales a los estilos de música que acogen.
Diversas formas de instalaciones artísticas concebidas junto a los artistas especialmente para el festival.

Un plan de energía inteligente que reduce el consumo en alrededor de un 40% basado en la matriz eléctrica y apoyado con generadores de biodiesel.

One of the most unique experiences on the South American festival circuit, DGTL Santiago promises to showcase a mix of established names and new faces from the global and local scenes, a mind-blowing representation of the world’s underground electronic avant-garde. From the German techno phenomenon Marcel Dettmann and the eclectic electro sound of Helena Hauff, to exponents of the Afterlife scene like ARTBAT and Innellea, and the new sensation of the European summer Deer Jade, whose energetic sets have blown roofs off around the world.

As with every global DGTL edition, it’s not just the international stars that have a light shone on them. Local heroes top the line up: Raw C, Claudio Arditti, Leonor Baesler and Fantasna, emerging and established talents, representing a wide range of music in both DJ Set and Live formats.

Después de dos años de silencio mundial, DGTL está de vuelta, reuniendo a decenas de miles de amantes de la música electrónica al son de un mismo bajo.

Una de las experiencias más singulares en el circuito de festivales de América del Sur, DGTL Santiago promete exhibir una mezcla de nombres establecidos y caras nuevas de la escena global y local, una representación alucinante de la vanguardia electrónica underground del mundo. Desde el fenómeno del techno alemán de Marcel Dettmann y el ecléctico sonido electro de Helena Hauff, hasta exponentes de la escena Afterlife como ARTBAT e Innellea, pasando por la nueva sensación del verano europeo Deer Jade, cuyos enérgicos sets han volado techos en todo el mundo.
