Pilar Gost has crafted a visually stunning music video for Moderna ‘s “Filter Me,” immersing viewers in a nostalgic world reminiscent of classic VHS aesthetics.
The video unfolds in the vibrant city streets of Barcelona, where Gost’s signature DIY style breathes life into the urban landscape. “Filter Me” is featured on Moderna’s debut album, The Future Is Among Us, released under her own label, Brave New Rave.
The entire concept and process of the video shoot was an intuitive relationship between Pilar and myself based on our connection to the track. The streets of Barcelona were the perfect location for Pilar’s unique interpretation. I’m so thrilled to see how it came together and happy to share it.
The album showcases Moderna’s electronic sound, and the visually striking video perfectly complements the track’s electro- industrial sound. Pilar Gost has a strong focus on DIY aesthetics, Her past collaborations include artists such as Ellen Alien, Curses, and Jennifer Touch. Gost’s work is characterized by its raw energy and experimental spirit. The “Filter Me” video is transforms her vision of everyday environments into nostalgic visual landscapes.
