Quote from the directors; In directing Todo x Ti by Cora Novoa, we wanted to take the viewer on a profound, almost spiritual journey—one that pushes the boundaries of life and death. Building on the themes we explored in State of Mind from ACT II, we crafted a narrative that transports the audience beyond death, guiding them through a passage of transcendence. We sought to visualize the inner workings of the body and mind, exploring the subconscious as it holds fragmented memories that slowly dissolve into the void. The journey raises questions that linger: What comes after death? What awaits when we cross that line into the unknown?
As the final installment of the Mental Diary trilogy, Todo x Ti dives deep into the idea of escape and introspection, exploring futuristic landscapes that blend the physical and psychological realms. The story unfolds as a journey into the afterlife, but it’s not a peaceful transition. Instead, we find ourselves in a dystopian world—dark, desolate, and devoid of hope. Here, humanity has abandoned the possibility of salvation, resorting to technology to recreate past lives in an attempt to avoid facing a grim present.
The two intertwined narratives in the video reflect on the human experience: the ever-present tension between existence and the longing to escape the inescapable. Through these visuals, we wanted to push viewers to question not only what lies beyond death but also what drives us to create and cling to alternate realities when confronted with a harsh, unavoidable truth.
A New Audiovisual Experience
As part of the album launch, Novoa has also unveiled two specially created music videos, both directed by Atómico! that bring the album’s themes to life. The first, for the track No Faith, No Fear (released in October), plunges viewers into a dystopian world devoid of hope, where humanity has abandoned salvation. The narrative takes place after a computer error, in a future where people, seeking escape, use technology to simulate past lives. This concept, setting the tone for the album’s exploration of existential crisis, will evolve further with a prequel in upcoming releases.
The second video, for Todo x Ti, set to release in the coming weeks, serves as a prequel to No Faith, No Fear. This introspective, existential journey explores death and the unknown, traversing the subconscious as the place where memories are stored. What lies beyond nothingness? The release of this video will complete the visual arc, culminating in a final video that will unite both pieces and tell the story chronologically, offering a reflective meditation on existence and the human desire to escape an inevitable reality.
Quote from Cora: “It was very important for me to be involved from day one with the music video directors in translating the whole conceptual narrative of the album into images and concepts. I always get fully involved in the creative direction of all the projects I do and it was a pleasure to be able to work on the music videos with Matt and Monaco.”
The End of a Trilogy
ACT III: This is not about you and me. This is about us serves as the final chapter of Novoa’s Mental Diary trilogy, a deeply introspective and conceptual exploration of the artist’s personal and professional evolution. The trilogy, which has been presented as a 360º experience, blends music with visual and design elements, each act of the trilogy a standalone piece of art with its own narrative and visual language.
This album is a culmination of Novoa’s artistic journey, with a feature film that follows classical story structures to depict the character’s introspective quest and their emotional evolution. The project transcends music, exploring the artist’s mental and emotional state over the years, and serves as a metaphor for the changes she has experienced since 2018.
A New A/V Show and Tour Dates for 2025
To accompany the release of ACT III, Cora Novoa will debut a new AV LIVE show, marking the beginning of her 2025 tour. The artist has confirmed that she will perform at the Sónar 2025 festival, where she will present this groundbreaking audiovisual show, blending techno and electro with the stunning visuals of digital artist Tomás Aciago.
Novoa has already premiered the show at Caixaforum Barcelona on November 29th as part of the DNIT cycle, and she has announced the first dates of her ACT III tour, with more stops to be revealed soon.
With ACT III, Cora Novoa closes a chapter of her creative journey while opening the door to new horizons, offering an unforgettable audio-visual experience that will continue to shape her artistic legacy.
