Balletshofer SS26 Travels in Style at Tempelhof Airport

German menswear brand Balletshofer took over the Tempelhof Airport on Tuesday evening, making a case for travel fashion at Berlin Fashion Week.

The brand is known for exquisite tailoring that blends traditional, high-level craftsmanship with modern streetstyle influences. Since its creation in 2019, Balletshofer has built a strong menswear portfolio, urging for a renaissance of elegance in men’s fashion. Additionally, the brand stands for quality, timelessness, and dressing for an occasion– not a photo.

Bridging past to present this season, the label sent classically tailored suits, jackets, trenches, and trousers down the abandoned-airport-turned-runway. Some models walked with suitcases and modern accessories like headsets and cellphones– others just walked with purpose. The atmosphere was vintage airport with modern style.

In a modern world where we are constantly on the go, moving rapidly from one place to the next– and always checking our phones to get the directions right– Balletshofer reminds us to remember the journey. To put care into getting to the destination. This means bringing intention back to the down-time spent in transit or in motion– what is now just screen-time. It means caring about dressing for the little things, and presenting yourself with class even when your photo won’t be taken.

The show urges us to focus on process, not to just bask in the results. This mindset is how the brand has reached such early success. Through paying attention to process– slow fashion, quality materials, high craftsmanship. This collection payed respect to that process, and to how far it has already brought the brand.

As the show closed, a voice came over the loudspeaker to let us know our flight was boarding. The models walked confidently towards the gate.

The only question now, is what happens when we land?
