Marcel Ostertag created the designs of his new collection in the Baltic seaside resort of Ahrenshoop and at Lake Tegernsee in Bavaria, during creative workshops that brought calm, focus, and renewed clarity to the designer’s otherwise vibrant universe.
The deep blue of the Baltic Sea and the magical colors of the Tegernsee sunset were a big inspiration for the designer’s newest collection. Marcel captured this unique atmosphere in evocative photographs. The soothing power of nature flowed effortlessly into his new collection from the very first sketches. Places full of magic and inspiration that cleared his mind, sparked ideas, and decisively shaped the creative process of this season.
At the heart of the collection are prints developed directly from the taken photographs. Deep shades of blue, a glowing sunset, graphically abstracted natural stone, and retro-inspired oversized checks merge into a fashion language that combines elegance with a touch of modern streetwear—ideal for confident evening appearances. Cocktail fashion, interpreted for everyday wear. Ostertag and his team design looks that become true companions in life. Versatile to combine, effortless to style, and yet unmistakably special.
To complement the intense blue tones, Marcel introduces accents in mandarin, copper, mint, off-white, black, and various shades of grey. Marble effects add extra radiance to the colors. Long, printed dresses made from flowing jersey fabrics gently embrace the silhouette and are paired with hand-knitted maxi scarves. Power coats with clean lines meet delicate chiffon or slim skirts. Strong shoulders are conveying presence, while the waist is visually emphasized—a powerful, feminine look.
To celebrate the blue hour appropriately, the designer is foregoing a traditional fashion show this season and instead invites guests to a cocktail party, where the collection will be staged videographically throughout the evening.
