Since 2017, UNDER has brought together electronic music and arts in Riga, creating a space where performances, technology, and cultural exchange intersect. The festival will return on July 24–25, 2026, with a program combining international artists, local talent, educational events, and experimental approaches to electronic music.
The 2026 edition will explore different aspects of contemporary electronic music through both performance and learning experiences. Alongside its main performances, the festival will present workshops, masterclasses, and discussions focused on music technology and the current electronic music scene.

The festival’s program will take place across two main locations in Riga. The daytime events will be hosted at Sporta 2 Quarter, while the nighttime performances will move to Spēlēt concert hall, creating a schedule that connects daytime educational activities with evening performances.
Leading the 2026 lineup are British DJ and producer Rene Wise and American musician and live performer Lady Starlight.

Lady Starlight is recognized for her unique approach to analog sound and hardware-based electronic music. Throughout her career, she has collaborated with artists from experimental and electronic music communities, participated in international tours with Lady Gaga, and worked on live projects with Surgeon. In recent years, she has collaborated closely with German techno producer Rødhåd, presenting improvisation-based live performances centered around analog synthesizers. Their collaborative performances have been presented at events and venues including SUPERBOOTH, RSO, and Stone Techno Festival.
Rene Wise is known for his hypnotic grooves, refined rhythmic structures, and minimalist approach to techno. His releases have appeared on respected labels including Blueprint and WSNWG, gaining recognition within the contemporary techno scene. He regularly performs at internationally known clubs including Berghain, fabric, and Bassiani.

The daytime program at Sporta 2 Quarter will focus on the connection between electronic music, technology, and creative practice. Inside the Zefīrs restaurant space, local DJs including Mixmaster Raitis and Esoniq will present vinyl-only sets. Visitors will also be able to attend free workshops and masterclasses hosted by Erica Synths, Gamechanger Audio, and other industry professionals.
The daytime schedule will also include open discussions on contemporary electronic music featuring representatives from Keyi Magazine, with additional educational events focused on music, technology, and culture to be announced.

The nighttime program at Spēlēt concert hall will feature performances from international and local artists. Alongside Rene Wise and Lady Starlight, South Korean artist Marcus L will present a rare cassette DJ set. The lineup will also include Latvian electronic music artists Ksenia Kamikaza and Dmitry Puffin, as well as artists from Italy, Turkey, the United Kingdom, and other countries. Berlin Bunny and Eyes Dice, the founders of Keyi Magazine, will also join the lineup, further connecting the festival’s performance program with its focus on contemporary electronic music culture.
The two-day festival will follow different musical focuses. July 24 will be dedicated to DJ performances, while July 25 will highlight live acts and improvisational performances using synthesizers and electronic instruments.
With its combination of international artists, local creators, and programs exploring music and technology, UNDER Festival continues to present electronic music through a broader cultural perspective in Riga.
