Elektronik Zoo 2026: A Season Finale in the Belgian Countryside + A Recap Through the Lens of KEYI Studio

On Saturday, September 5, Elektronik Zoo returned to its private natural setting in Kortenaken, Belgium, for the final gathering of its 2026 season.
Set within a garden surrounded by the Belgian countryside, the open-air festival once again brought together electronic music artists across two stages, Wild Fauna and Water Fauna, with an approach centred on musical identity, intimacy and a close connection between artists, music and surroundings.
The closing edition featured a line-up spanning several generations of electronic music. Techno pioneers and established names including Ellen Allien, DJ Rolando, The Advent and festival founder Marco Bailey appeared alongside a newer generation represented by Laure Croft and Milo Raad. Sigvard also joined the programme with a live performance.
The second stage, Water Fauna, offered a different musical direction, featuring Petar Dundov, Axel Haube and Mathadis. While Wild Fauna focused on techno, Water Fauna explored deeper, house and more melodic sounds, giving the festival two distinct musical identities within the same setting.
The festival’s setting remains central to the Elektronik Zoo concept. Rather than adopting the scale and structure of a conventional large-scale festival, its limited capacity and garden location shape a more intimate format. The two stages are integrated into the natural surroundings, with the aim of keeping the distance between artists and audience close while allowing room for different musical discoveries throughout the day.

Elektronik Zoo now wraps up its 2026 season, looking ahead to its return in 2027.
