IMPARI , in collaboration with the Kokrobitey Institute, transformed the Kühlhaus Berlin

Berlin, July 2, 2025 – On the evening of July 1. IMPARI, in collaboration with the Kokrobitey Institute, transformed the Kühlhaus Berlin into a vibrant space for cultural expression, circularity, and connection. The immersive performance “CIRCLES OF CHANGE”, presented as part of Berlin Fashion Week. Was far more than a fashion show. It was a deeply moving tribute to the cultural essence of Ghana.

The emotional climax: the finale of the show culminated in a symbolic embrace of all performers. A collective gesture of unity, transformation, and global responsibility.

AN EMOTIONAL FASHION PERFORMANCE AS PART OF BERLIN FASHION WEEK

At the heart of the project lies the creative collaboration with the Kokrobitey Institute in Accra, Ghana.

An internationally renowned educational and design platform that has been promoting sustainable design. Interdisciplinary education, and social entrepreneurship for over two decades.

The partnership emerged within the framework of WithoutWaste, a social project initiated by IMPARI—a venture that rethinks textile and industrial waste as a resource. In this context, IMPARI is also working with partners in Ghana on the development and patenting of innovative recycling machines, aiming to strengthen local production cycles and create creative jobs. The collaboration with the Kokrobitey Institute serves as a hands-on bridge between design, technology, and education.

The runway was staged in a circular layout, reflecting the core themes of the show: circularity, community, and transformation. At its center were music, dance, textile art, and spiritual connection—carried by an aesthetic that creatively interwove African and European perspectives.

Under the creative direction of Jana Heinemann, IMPARI sends a powerful message for sustainable fashion, cultural exchange, and artistic responsibility within the international fashion scene.
