For Spring/Summer 2026, MARKO BAKOVIĆ introduces TRACES: a sculptural footwear collection that explores the imprint of movement, memory, and craft.
At its core, MARKO BAKOVIĆ’s collection is a study in contrast: soft femininity meets forceful directionality.
Split into three families: YARA, REZA, and AZRA — the silhouettes fuse high artisanal savoir-faire with a conceptual edge. Key materials like Italian kidskin, transparent sequins, and sculptural spikes highlight the tension between softness and force.
Highlights of MARKO BAKOVIĆ collection include a heat-flattened rounded Derby that bears the literal trace of its maker, and opanak-inspired aerodynamic bumpers layered in foam and leather. Ornament becomes structure as densely hand-applied sequins and spikes transform surface into substance.
Rooted in traditional shoemaking and pushed to extreme proportions, Baković’s SS26 vision is both cerebral and striking, a meditation on footwear as object, memory, and expression.

Marko Baković is a footwear designer known for merging artisanal craftsmanship with a conceptual design approach. With a background in product design and a specialization in traditional shoemaking, he studied under master shoemaker René van den Berg and earned his MA from the London College of Fashion.
Through his eponymous studio, Baković creates sculptural footwear that challenges conventional form and function. By combining parametric design methods with deep knowledge of leather and construction, the brand redefines shoes as objects of expression — balancing elegance, innovation, and wearability. Each collection is a study in contrasts, where heritage techniques meet radical silhouettes.
