RIHGA Royal Hotel Tokyo - the hidden gem of the timeless luxury

RIHGA Royal Hotel Tokyo – the hidden gem experience in Shinjuku in cinematic setting

A quieter side of Tokyo, where classic European elegance meets Japanese hospitality.

Tokyo is a city that rarely seems to slow down. Between the neon, trains, galleries, clubs and endless movement, finding a moment of stillness can feel like discovering a hidden room within the city itself.

For our latest hotel experience, KEYI Magazine spent several days at RIHGA Royal Hotel Tokyo, located in quiet part of Shinjuku.

Away from the intensity of central Tokyo, the hotel offers a different rhythm – one shaped by spacious interiors, traditional hospitality and an unmistakable sense of timeless elegance.

Its interiors lean into European-classical design, creating an atmosphere that feels almost cinematic: chandeliers, generous spaces, carefully considered details and rooms designed for lingering rather than simply sleeping.

Enjoying the Spa after long day of intense Tokyo’s city centre around the corner was a cherry on the top of our stay. You could expect highest care of the staff and private lane to swim in the intimate atmosphere.
The hotel looks toward the greenery of Ōkuma Garden and sits within Waseda, an area deeply connected to Tokyo’s culture and history.

During our stay, we explored the hotel not simply as a place to rest between Tokyo adventures, but as an experience in itself – from dedicated work area in our hotel suite to its approach to hospitality and the slower pace that comes with being surrounded by greenery.

RIHGA Royal Hotel Tokyo for KEYI, travel has always been about looking beyond the obvious.

This stay became an opportunity to experience Tokyo from a more intimate perspective – to wake up slowly, observe the details, move through the city at our own pace, and return to a place that offered a sense of calm at the end of the day.

The warm light always brought us sense of the peace and relax, while observing the skyline of Tokyo through the window from the different perspective and possibility to use very fast internet and the setting itself brought sparks of creativity and perfect atmosphere to work remotely.
In their suite you could feel like in the movie setting like in Wes Anderson film.
Whenever we are in Tokyo we definitely would love to come back to this beautiful hotel and gateway from busy city vibe, while being close to the centre.
