He draws inspiration from a spectrum of styles, including IDM, acid, ambient, and dub, all anchored by a sincere dedication to intense, uplifting rave music. Sintaxis, his second full release for BPitch following 2021’s Rezagados and an appearance on the acclaimed We Are Not Alone compilation series last year, showcases his musical versatility.

Armed with a passion for multi-genre musicality and a refined grasp of production techniques, Sintaxis reflects Gotshell ‘s references to subcultures from various locales. The tracks, ranging from chaotic to serene, demonstrate his ability to balance seemingly disparate sonic profiles. The journey begins with ‘Forest,’ a misty spiral featuring bizarre dissonances and psychedelic pads guided by a marching kick drum. Venturing into hazier terrain, the dub-centric ‘Who I Am’ pays homage to early-era dubstep with a skillful fusion of stepping percussions, echoey vocals, and airy synths. ‘Fluctuacion Paralela’ continues in an ambient-leaning vein, immersing itself in an uncanny world of distant alarms, robotic voices, and subtle drums. Bringing the proceedings to a close is the unrelenting ‘Acid and Die,’ an uncompromising journey through harsh acid coils and heavy distortions.

Sintaxis serves as a bold statement of intent from the Colombian producer, skillfully weaving together threads from different shades of electronic music. It showcases Gotshell’s unique aesthetic, demonstrating a true commitment to the music and solidifying his place in the ever-evolving landscape of electronic soundscapes.
