Maria Chany’s AW25/26 collection, ELYSIUM, was presented on day 2 of Berlin Fashion Week 2025.

The show was held at the Mall of Berlin Recycling—a venue repurposed from a former waste management site. It underscored the transformative power of fashion by turning discarded materials into high-concept couture.
Rooted in the Greek mythology of a utopian afterlife, ELYSIUM brings new meaning to waste, breathing life into materials like reclaimed rubber, bio-textiles derived from nuts, and deadstock fabrics.

From sculptural jackets to industrial-chic dresses, the collection fused rugged textures with sleek, futuristic silhouettes, embodying Chany’s signature aesthetic of bold contrasts and avant-garde craftsmanship.
The designs pushed the boundaries of sustainability, proving that fashion’s future lies in reinvention rather than excess.
Worn-out car tires became corsets, vintage scraps transformed into fluid gowns, and discarded tire tubes reappeared as edgy jewelry, thanks to the collaboration with accessory designers Genevieve-The Label and St. Grillz.

Advanced 3D printing techniques, led by visionaries like Reem Jarhum and Chie Yamamoto, brought further innovation to the collection’s accessories.

Beyond fashion, ELYSIUM extended its sustainability ethos to every part of the show.
Hair and makeup incorporated repurposed materials. Culinary partners Home of Dumpling and Spree Fumée curated organic, vegetarian, and vegan menus for the cast and crew.

Additionally, the venue itself featured solar panels, geothermal heating, and recycled construction materials. Every aspect of the event embodied the circular principles that Chany champions.

Maria Chany’s commitment to inclusivity was also evident, with designs available from XXS to XXL, emphasizing representation and accessibility. Her approach to fashion goes beyond aesthetics. It offers rental services and on-demand production to extend garment life cycles and combat overproduction.
Chany gained international recognition with her Terraforming SS25 collection, showcased in Berlin, Prague, and Dubai.

With ELYSIUM, she continues to challenge industry norms.
More than a fashion statement, it serves as a manifesto for a future where sustainability and creativity merge seamlessly, proving that waste can be reimagined into something extraordinary.
