Lorenzo Raganzini is stepping into a new phase of his artistic journey: bolder, rawer, and more personal than ever. With the launch of his independent label and a series of upcoming releases, the TechnoMetal pioneer opens up about sound evolution, creative freedom, and staying true to his rebels.
After shaking dance floors across the globe as one of the masterminds behind HEX, Lorenzo Raganzini is ready to enter a new era on his own terms.
In our latest talk with him, Lorenzo reveals what’s brewing beneath the surface: an ambitious and emotional new project, a brand-new independent label (Lorenzo Raganzini Music), and a shift in sonic direction that places raw expression above all else.

Nearly a year ago, we interviewed Lorenzo to discuss HEX’s global impact and the rise of TechnoMetal. But this time, it’s personal.
From designing a dystopic sound universe to finding inspiration mid-flight, Lorenzo opens up about the rebellious spirit that drives everything he does—and how he’s building something made only of his music, for his people, his rebels.

What’s new on the horizon?
I’m working on a big musical project I’m very proud of. Can’t say too much yet, but it’s all about creating an experience made only of my music, live, direct to my people, my rebels <3
How did your journey change since our last meeting?
Many things happened, but not all can be revealed now. More music is coming—Confess Your Sins on Sept 5th will be the first release on my new independent label Lorenzo Raganzini Music, a direct channel between me and my rebels. A second release follows on Sept 26th ”Why They Hide Their Bodies Under My Garage, and from November, the big project begins. Full focus on music.
Do you approach any sound evolution in your project?
Yes. I’m designing my own sonic world, a rebel dystopic universe. A few BPMs less than usual to focus on the emotion of the song, creating something that hits both the face and the belly, and that stays with you even when the music stops. Strong and emotional at the same time. My voice is part of it too, more dynamic yet with more distortion and raw energy. Music to experience in a club, at home, or driving when you need a real boost.

What inspires you outside of music—films, books, philosophy?
Inspiration comes from normal life. Sometimes it’s an early walk, sometimes a thought on a plane. I sketch ideas with drawings or words, building a mental picture of a song. I often decide the title first, then I start producing with a clear vision of the message I want to send.
You’re very connected with Berlin—could you tell us about your story with the city?
Berlin has always been a big source of inspiration for me. I have deep respect for its culture. For me it’s the artistic hub of the world, and my story as an artist is tied to that energy.

What’s next for you creatively?

A big project. My music, made and played directly to my people, my rebels. More experimentation. I’m comfortable not fitting everywhere, comfortable being different. I don’t need to be liked by everyone. I can only be myself—rebel as I am.
