Elizaveta Poliakova presents The Cloud

The Cloud is an immersive choreographic installation that combines contemporary dance, live sound, sculpture, and light. Created by Berlin-based choreographer and performer Elizaveta Poliakova, the work explores themes of instability, transformation, fragility, and the shifting relationship between body, object, and environment.

At the centre of the installation is the large-scale kinetic sculpture Cloud. Made from ultra-thin foil and plastic materials, it constantly transforms through air, pressure, movement, and light, creating a dynamic and ever-changing presence within the space.

Rather than following a fixed narrative, The Cloud unfolds through shifting states of tension, resistance, and transformation. As the choreography develops, the performer continuously responds to the installation, revealing both its fragility and unpredictability.

The immersive atmosphere is further enhanced by a live musician, whose performance evolves alongside the movement and installation. Together, these elements create a deeper connection between the audience, the performer, and the surrounding environment.

Lighting designer Marco Di Nardo approaches light not as a traditional stage element, but as an active part of the choreography. His design interacts with the installation and continuously reshapes the audience’s perception of the space.

Presented at Haus der Visionäre, The Cloud invites visitors into a fluid landscape of movement, sound, sculpture, and kinetic architecture, where perception itself remains in constant motion.
