Currently touring with Moby in support of Future Quiet, his 23rd studio album, musician and visual artist Andrea Whitt is documenting her experience through a series of hand-drawn set list artwork.
Andrea Whitt has been a touring member of Moby’s band for three years, playing pedal steel, viola, and fiddle.
Alongside performing pedal steel, fiddle and viola on tour, Whitt has created a hand-drawn set list on her iPad for every show. So far, Whitt has created 29 original artworks, each capturing the exact setlist and drawing inspiration from the venue, music, life on the road, and city of each show. With a distinct visual language capturing details of each city, artworks feature the main character created by Moby, known as “Little idiot”. As a result, the series has become Andrea’s visual tour diary, conveying the distinct energy of each city while linking music and place.
Whitt explains: “The setlist is the most honest document in the building, and nobody keeps it,” Whitt said. “It’s the only object that records exactly what happened that night, in that room, in that order. Every night it ends up on the floor or in someone’s pocket. Therefore I started drawing them because I didn’t want to lose them. Twenty-nine shows later, I realised I’d made something.”
Drawing on her roots in the Grateful Dead and Phish communities, Whitt has transformed these often-discarded documents into collectible works of art. Fans in these communities have long archived setlists, treating them as “living art” and a medium for storytelling.
Whitt releases the series independently through her own channels. Prints are archival giclée, A3 in Europe, each signed and numbered by the artist. It is strictly limited edition of fifty per show.
European set lists cost $75.00. Whitt offers setlists from her 2026 Coachella performances and KCRW session as a separate premium edition for $150. Available to buy at bohobunnie.com.
