Arnaud Rebotini & Acid Washed Launch Conceptual 4-Part Rave Manifesto via SKYLAX RECORDS

French electronic icons Arnaud Rebotini and Acid Washed have joined forces for a bold and conceptual new series on SKYLAX RECORDS.

SKYLAX RECORDS launches the project under its SKYLAX BLACK banner as the first chapter in a secretive four-part cycle, with each release forming a piece of a larger puzzle — a tribute to the roots and future of rave culture.

We’re proud to premiere one of the highlights from the upcoming release: “99 Shakes”, a relentless club track driven by heavy synth riffs and rapid-fire rhythms. It’s a direct, high-energy cut built for peak-time floors.

The full EP, SKYLAX BLACK 2, follows Rebotini’s influential Musical Component album and expands his vision further into uncharted sonic territory. From soulful Detroit techno to militant electro and cinematic Wagnerian techno, this release reflects both legacy and forward motion.

The EP will be available October 10th in digital and vinyl formats.

SKYLAX BLACK 2 delivers four distinct yet interconnected tracks that explore the emotional, political, and futuristic dimensions of electronic music.

The A-side opens with “Redshifts to Blueshifts,” a soulful Detroit-style journey in the spirit of Underground Resistance — militant, emotional, and rich with futuristic melancholy. It’s followed by “99 Shakes,” a raw, club-driven cut powered by massive synth riffs and machine-gun rhythms, designed to push the boundaries of dancefloor energy.

On the B-side, “Futur Race” dives into sharp, robotic electro reminiscent of early Metroplex and Juan Atkins — retro-futuristic and ultra-funky. The EP closes with “Gen Mix,” a cinematic and intense piece of Wagnerian techno — dramatic, orchestral in scale, and unmistakably Rebotini.
