Berlin-based powerhouses Dr. Rubinstein and Blind Observatory have teamed up for a genre-blending journey titled ‘Express Lane’, now exclusively premiered on KEYI.
As the final preview before the official release of We Are Not Alone Pt. 9 — the ninth edition of BPitch Berlin’s acclaimed compilation series — this track offers a taste of the sonic magic these two titans create when they combine forces.
Groovy Acid Meets Atmospheric Electro
Described by the artists as a spontaneous and organic creation, ‘Express Lane’ fuses Dr. Rubinstein’s signature rave energy and Blind Observatory’s deep, sci-fi-infused atmospheres. The result is a moody yet driving acid electro cut, rich in hypnotic grooves and interstellar textures that feel both grounded and otherworldly.
“This track is all about just going for it. We’re both overthinkers, and it usually takes us ages to finish anything. But with this tune we just said, ‘Let’s do it.’ And we did – wrapped it up in just two or three days.
You can really hear both of our energies in it. It’s moody electro with a touch of acid – groovy, driving, and always moving forward. Honestly, we are so happy with how it turned out, and we can’t wait for it to be out in the world”

We Are Not Alone Pt. 9 will be officially released on April 18, 2025, featuring contributions from a diverse array of forward-thinking artists.
Blind Observatory is a Berlin-based DJ, producer, and visual artist known for his sci-fi-inspired soundscapes and deep, hypnotic productions.
His music, influenced by early techno and electro, creates immersive, space-themed atmospheres that act as meditative journeys for the listener. Treating dance floors as “observatories for the blind,” he explores the vast solitude and freedom of the cosmos through sound.
Dr. Rubinstein, also based in Berlin, is a dynamic DJ and curator celebrated for her rave-driven sets and raw acid basslines.
