Zen Lu appears on Fine Coincidence’s Stardust Memories: 20 Years of the Input Output Putput Radio Show, a compilation celebrating two decades of the long-running radio programme curated by Tomasz Guiddo. The release is scheduled for May 8, 2026.
Originally launched in 2005 on Jazz Radio Warsaw 106.8FM, Input Output Putput evolved into an international broadcast platform following the station’s closure in 2008, continuing online via RadioJazzFM. Over the years, the programme travelled with Guiddo across multiple cities including Berlin, Shenzhen, and Hong Kong, becoming known for its eclectic and genre-fluid curation spanning spiritual jazz, ambient, future jazz, Afrobeat, deep house, and Balearic sounds.
The compilation reflects this long-standing musical journey, bringing together selections shaped by crate digging, global broadcasts, and a community formed around the show’s evolving identity.
The compilation also features Zen Lu – “Beyond The Clouds”, which opens with a wind instrument–like tone, gradually unfolding into a spacious ambient environment. A slow-moving rhythmic layer emerges over time, guiding the track’s progression while maintaining a restrained, atmospheric flow. Built on an electronic foundation, the piece sustains a deep sense of immersion through its continuous ambient texture.
Zen Lu is a Shenzhen-based electronic musician and sound artist working at the intersection of experimental music and interdisciplinary art. He is the founder of the independent label We Play! Records and the avant-garde collective Neo Sound, and is also involved in projects such as ChoP and N2 New Media Art Lab. His work is often described as “sound ink-painting,” combining minimalist sonic structures with ambient experimentation and a poetic sensibility rooted in Eastern aesthetics.
Stardust Memories serves as both an archive and reflection on two decades of broadcasting, marking the closing of a long-running chapter while extending its legacy through future editions of the series.
