Founded in 1991 in the vaults of a former East Berlin department store, Tresor Berlin rose from the closure of the Ufo Club to become a cornerstone of Berlin’s underground techno scene after reunification.

Known for its raw industrial aesthetic, the club featured two floors: the basement-level Tresor for hard techno and acid, and Globus for house music. That same year, Tresor Records launched, releasing groundbreaking techno from legends like Jeff Mills, Juan Atkins, and Robert Hood.

After closing its original location in 2005, Tresor reopened in 2007 inside a repurposed power plant on Köpenicker Straße. With a sister venue (Tresor.West) and a 30-year legacy, Tresor remains a major force in Berlin nightlife and global electronic music culture.
