Frega Festival 2025: Set in the heart of Fontanellato, Italy, Frega Festival offers a truly unique environment for electronic music lovers: the world’s largest bamboo labyrinth, Labirinto della Masone.

Spanning 7 hectares and surrounded by over 200,000 bamboo plants, this extraordinary space becomes a living, breathing dance floor — a natural maze transformed into a stage for artistic immersion.
Frega Festival is co-curated by a trio of forward-thinking creatives — Gabriele Capponi, Mattia Koväl, and Pre Silent — who bring a shared commitment to electronic innovation and social responsibility. Together, they’ve shaped an ethical festival that goes beyond music to become a cultural experience rooted in inclusivity and experimentation.

A Manifesto of Inclusion: Dance floor Sensibile
At the heart of Frega Festival lies its guiding principle: Dance floor Sensibile. This manifesto envisions a dance floor that is open, respectful, and radically inclusive. The goal is to create a safe space where diversity is not just accepted but celebrated, and where no one is ever left out — a powerful stance in today’s cultural landscape.
The festival is also the official launch of the Dance Floor Sensibile project, which has recently been selected by the European Live MX Grant for its innovation in accessibility and digital transformation within the music sector.
Backed by this grant, the project introduces:
The Club Advisor digital platform, helping people find truly accessible venues across Europe
A new wave of educational tools and awareness programs for club staff and communities
A continental initiative to build a network of inclusive clubs and events, ensuring nightlife is a space for all

Where Sound, Space, and Art Intersect
Frega Festival isn’t just about the music — it’s about the full sensory experience. Every element, from the line-up to the layout, is designed to foster connection between people, sound, and environment. Music, visual art, and architecture merge in unexpected ways, turning the bamboo labyrinth into an evolving canvas for expression and exploration.
Frega Festival 2025 proudly features some of the world’s most respected techno artists, all of whom are participating in solidarity with the cause of accessibility and inclusion.
The musical journey begins with Blind Date, moves through Elisa Bee and Pre Silent, and reaches its peak with a legendary B2B by Ben Klock and Marcel Dettmann, before continuing with Gabriele Capponi, BLANKA, and Nastia, and concluding with a deep and powerful closing set by Koväl.
Lineup (A-Z):
Ben Klock b2b Marcel Dettmann

A leading figure in the global techno scene, Ben Klock is known for his marathon sets and emotionally resonant performances. With landmark releases on Ostgut Ton and his own Klockworks label, he has shaped the global sound of modern techno.

One of techno’s most influential figures, Marcel Dettmann has been a Berghain resident since 2004.
With roots in post-punk and industrial, his sound merges raw minimalism with emotional depth. He runs the MDR label and is known for groundbreaking releases on Ostgut Ton and beyond.
BLANKA

Originally from Córdoba and now based in Berlin, BLANKA is a rising star in techno’s new wave.
She co-runs Room Trax and has performed at major venues like Berghain, Tresor, and Garbicz Festival.
Her sound blends hypnotic grooves with a Mediterranean edge, earning global recognition.
Blind Date

Blind Date is a 17-year-old artist who has been blind since birth. He embodies Frega Project’s belief that talent knows no barriers and music belongs to those who create, not just those who see. His heartfelt selections signal a future free from prejudice and full of possibility.
Elisa Bee

A Milan-based DJ and producer with over 17 years of experience, Elisa Bee merges acid, groove, and 90s-influenced techno.
She’s released music on respected labels like Hardgroove and Symbolism, and recently collaborated with Detroit legend Rolando.

Gabriele Capponi

Gabriele Capponi carries forward a monumental legacy with his groovy and pulsating sound.
Known for his deep connection with the dancefloor, he is a cornerstone of the scene. On this occasion, Gabriele will serve as the perfect bridge between the intense B2B set by Ben Klock and Marcel Dettmann and the fresh new energies of the night.
Koväl

Koväl’s sound, blending introspection with raw power, serves as a manifesto of light and darkness. Through his selections, he invites the audience to lose themselves and rediscover their inner selves in the heart of the Labyrinth.
Koväl’s closing performance will be the perfect finale to a festival that is more than just an event — it’s a transformative experience.
Nastia

Ukraine’s most internationally recognized DJ, Nastia is a touring powerhouse and social activist.
She founded NECHTO Records and launched cultural projects like Scary Beautiful and True Talk.
A champion of Ukrainian electronic music, she uses her global platform to promote local talent and social causes.
Pre Silent

Pre Silent is a seasoned live performer and passionate improviser, known for turning every set into a unique, immersive experience.
At Frega Festival, he will lead us through a sonic journey that blends experimentation with unpredictability.
Their participation is more than performance — it’s a collective statement that the future of clubbing must be sensitive, open, and equitable.

Hello Frega team! Could you introduce yourselves?
Pre Silent: I’m Giammarco, also known as Pre Silent, a live performer, producer and co-curator of Frega. I run an event series called Noise Orchestra and I’m co-founder of Dance Floor Sensibile, a project that promotes real inclusivity in club culture. I Joined Frega dream team since a year and half now and together we are trying to propose a different perspective to the scene, through the music.
Gabriele Capponi: I’m Gabriele, founder of Frega Project. After a motorcycle accident left me quadriplegic at 16, I found new strength in music and started DJing and creating inclusive cultural projects. Frega Project was born to break down barriers in nightlife and open spaces for everyone.
Koväl: I’m Mattia, also known as Koväl. Curator of Frega Project, an inclusive festival and platform merging electronic music and social commitment. My sets deliver hypnotic, driving techno built on industrial grooves and atmospheric tension, inspired by European club culture.
Could you tell us more about how it all started?
Koväl: It all started about eight years ago, going to festivals across Italy with Gabriele. I noticed how often people would stop him just to say how “amazing” it was that he was there, partying with everyone else. That made us realize something was wrong: the presence of people with disabilities in these spaces wasn’t seen as normal when it absolutely should be. As lovers of clubbing and electronic music, we felt the need to change that and this is how it started.
Later on, Gabriele and Giammarco (Pre Silent) founded Dance Floor Sensibile, which became a true manifesto for accessibility and inclusivity in nightlife. That vision naturally became part of Frega Project, with Pre Silent officially joining the team and strengthening our mission.

The location is truly unique. Could you tell us the story about it?
Gabriele Capponi: The Labirinto della Masone is the world’s largest bamboo labyrinth, but also a space filled with art and architecture. It feels surreal, like entering another dimension. Hosting the festival there is symbolic: a labyrinth represents both challenge and discovery. It mirrors our idea of clubbing, an immersive journey where everyone can find their own path without barriers.
At the same time, the labyrinth also reflects the path we are building with Frega Project: at first it may feel tortuous, even disorienting, like getting lost among its passages. But just as in life and in music, after the disorientation comes the joy of finding the exit, of reaching the light. This is the feeling we want to share through our events, turning confusion into awareness, obstacles into freedom, and barriers into connection.
The venue is rarely open for events of this kind, and bringing electronic music into such a cultural landmark turns the festival into a one of a kind experience.
What’s the core idea behind the festival?
Pre Silent: Our idea is to build a truly safe, accessible, and boundary-breaking dancefloor with music at its core. Too often, events self-proclaim to be “inclusive” effortlessy, without taking any real action. Dance Floor Sensibile was born to change that because inclusion is not a marketing slogan, it’s a commitment, it’s culture. Creating such an environment requires real effort and awareness. Our goal is to use music as a tool to break barriers, spark new imaginaries, and connect people. The festival is the natural developement of this path.
