Julia Govor marks her first release since 2024 with the EP Riders On The Roof, out 26 February 2026 on JUJUKA Music in vinyl and digital formats. The record is built around movement rather than message, emphasizing rhythm as motion and sound as velocity.
Inspired by cycling across the rooftops of Brooklyn and New York City, the EP’s tracks are designed to be traveled through. Propulsive yet weightless, they explore balance, momentum, and the subtle exhilaration of moving above the city, where repetition becomes meditation and forward motion feels suspended in air.
Among the five tracks, “UMBRELLA” stands out as a premiere feature. It captures Govor’s signature blend of dynamic rhythm and atmospheric textures, offering listeners a moment of motion that feels both grounded and elevated.
Govor, known for her forward-thinking production and signature sound, has released music on labels including Semantica, 30Drop, Standard Deviation, Pushmaster Discs, Trip, Cocoon, and Anagram.
She has collaborated with artists such as Jeroen Search and avant-garde composer Kamran Sadeghi, and her work has been reimagined by Ricardo Villalobos. As founder of JUJUKA Music and a member of the Public Records NY programming team, she continues to explore rhythm, space, and movement with a distinctly intuitive approach.
