Benedetta Cresta, knitwear and fashion designer, told us all about her last collection and the collaborative work with Fattura Studio at Polimoda.

니트웨어 및 패션 디자이너 베네데타 크레스타가 자신의 마지막 컬렉션과 폴리모다의 파투라 스튜디오와의 협업에 대해 이야기했습니다.

AGORAPHOBIA – NOT JUST WHAT YOU SEE

…is a collection that captures what the phobia represents: the feeling of fear (or serious discomfort) that a person feels in unfamiliar environments. Or in large open or crowded spaces, afraid of not being able to be in control.

This leads them to feel the need for an immediate escape route to a place they consider safer.

광장공포증 – 보이는 것만이 아닙니다.

…은 낯선 환경에서 느끼는 두려움(또는 심각한 불편함)을 나타내는 공포증을 포착한 컬렉션입니다. 또는 넓고 개방된 공간이나 혼잡한 공간에서 통제할 수 없을까봐 두려워합니다.

이로 인해 더 안전하다고 생각되는 장소로 즉시 탈출할 수 있는 경로가 필요하다고 느끼게 됩니다.

This collection is Cresta’s way of conceptually analyzing that feeling. The inability or unwillingness to go outside of a comfort zone. A place where we feel safe, as well the place that prevents us from growing.

이 컬렉션은 이러한 느낌을 개념적으로 분석하는 크레스타의 방식입니다. 안전지대를 벗어날 수 없거나 벗어나고 싶지 않은 마음. 우리가 안전하다고 느끼는 곳이자 성장을 방해하는 곳이기도 합니다.

Our works are based on abstract and metaphysical art as well as surrealism, with special care towards optical illusions and any other new possible way of creating perspectives.

우리의 작품은 초현실주의뿐만 아니라 추상적이고 형이상학적인 예술에 기반을 두고 있으며, 착시 현상과 기타 가능한 새로운 시각을 창조하는 방법에 특별한 주의를 기울이고 있습니다.

Each piece of the collection starts from a basic pattern, which is opened and transformed. From a one-kind piece of fabric, creating volumes going outside our standard silhouette, being part of them. The volumes create balance with the intention to enhance the body, not hide it.

컬렉션의 각 아이템은 기본 패턴에서 시작하여 이를 열고 변형합니다. 한 종류의 원단에서 표준 실루엣을 벗어난 볼륨을 만들어내어 그 일부가 되기도 합니다. 볼륨은 몸을 감추는 것이 아니라 돋보이게 하려는 의도로 균형을 이룹니다.

The ambiguity of this collection starts from the volume; that could be either something that goes outside the safe place and the representation of the safe place itself.

이 컬렉션의 모호함은 볼륨에서 시작되는데, 이는 안전한 장소를 벗어난 것일 수도 있고 안전한 장소 자체를 표현한 것일 수도 있습니다.

AGORAPHOBIA analyzes the ambiguity of stereotypes imposed by society. The uniform—like the tallieur—our safe place is overturned. Giving life to shapes that envelop the body in a sinuous way. With draped shape inspired by the work of Patty Carroll, the photographer behind Anonymous Women, a book of photography series, where Carroll’s images “symbolize the psychological states of women […] by showing them hidden behind, and intertwined with, visually stunning domestic scenes.”

아고라포비아는 사회가 강요하는 고정관념의 모호함을 분석합니다. 키다리 아저씨처럼 우리의 안전지대가 전복됩니다. 몸을 구불구불하게 감싸는 형태에 생명을 불어넣습니다. “시각적으로 멋진 가정 장면 뒤에 숨겨져 있거나 얽혀 있는 여성의 모습을 보여줌으로써 […] 여성의 심리적 상태를 상징하는” 사진집 시리즈인 익명의 여성(Anonymous Women)의 사진작가 패티 캐롤의 작품에서 영감을 받은 드레이프 형태입니다.

The Hellenistic Art universe influences the development of garments. Their marble seems soft, inspires the most voluminous dresses. Along with parts that perfectly follow the silhouette and others that deform it.

헬레니즘 예술 세계는 의복의 발전에 영향을 미쳤습니다. 대리석의 부드러움은 가장 볼륨감 있는 드레스에 영감을 주었습니다. 실루엣을 완벽하게 따르는 부분과 실루엣을 변형시키는 부분도 있습니다.

With our project, we are carrying out an artistic-editorial experience, which aims to deeply mix art with fashion.

이 프로젝트를 통해 우리는 예술과 패션을 깊이 있게 결합하는 것을 목표로 하는 예술적-편집적 경험을 진행하고 있습니다.
