Ombra Festival 2024 photography recap shows a glimpse of a unique experience during its 6th edition, which happened in December with an intense 3 days + pre-opening on Thursday.
Looking back, it’s easy to say that Ombra Festival was one of the most unforgettable experiences of last year. A perfect blend of location, people, and vibes made every moment across the three days something special.
Already you can prepare for the Ombra Festival 2025 ! The first release of the tickets is there almost sold out already.

From the moment you entered—through the corridor, where your body was scanned by one of the installation and you were transported into a surreal world of sound and light—it felt like stepping into the unknown. That starting point set the tone for everything that followed: mysterious, immersive, and full of surprises.

The lineup was a dream for lovers of the underground. Legends like A Split Second and In Trance 95 brought timeless energy to the stage, their performances echoing the roots of electronic music history. At the same time, rising talents like Charlie and Mind // Matter delivered fresh and compelling sets that showed the future is just as exciting.

But what truly elevated Ombra was the attention to detail. This wasn’t just about big names and dark beats. Scattered throughout the venue were carefully curated exhibitions, installations, and sensory elements that made the space feel alive. Analog visuals flickering against brick walls, hidden corners filled with sound experiments, interactive art pieces you stumbled upon between stages—it all contributed to a feeling that you were inside

There were three stages at Ombra, each with its own distinct personality. Two main ones pulsed at the heart of the festival, each offering a different sonic universe—from intense body-moving rhythms to more cerebral, synth-heavy journeys. And then there was the side stage, a hidden gem where we found ourselves constantly slipping away to catch unexpected sets, dig deeper into obscure sounds like the set of Andi which moved our bodies till the end, or just to get a fresh perspective when the main floors felt overwhelming. It wasn’t about choosing one space—it was about flowing between them, following your ears, your instincts, the moment.
Beside that, we had the pleasure of listening to Kalte Nacht. Their performance stood out with a unique blend of dark-wave urban beats.

But Ombra wasn’t just about chasing the perfect set. There was a rhythm outside the music too—a quieter, but just as important pulse running through the market area – it became a gathering point, where you’d run into old friends, meet new ones, or simply sit and catch your breath. You’d grab a bite in the food area – still, the pizza smells in my stomach or browse through analog synth gear, zines, records, or fashion pieces—and end up deep in conversation about potential future projects, labels, or ideas sparked by the sets you’d just witnessed.

It was one of those rare environments where artistic exchange happened as naturally as dancing. You could move from a heavy, percussive industrial set into a laid-back courtyard full of creativity and dialogue. The

The festival didn’t just showcase music—it cultivated a culture. A momentary utopia for those of us who live and breathe the underground, where creativity isn’t just consumed but shared, explored, and pushed forward.

And despite the intensity of the night before, the next day started on a high note with a morning session led by Wisdom Tits — the Berlin-based duo of Calilou and Paty Vapor. Their vibrant energy and playful yet punchy selections brought the dancefloor back to life. It was a brilliant way to start the day, with people already active and ready to dance from the very first track, setting a joyful and dynamic tone for what was to come.

During the festival, L.F.T. delivered an unforgettable performance. His set was charged with raw emotion and driven by his signature beats, taking the crowd on a full-spectrum journey of sound and feeling. The energy in the warehouse was insane — a packed space filled with people completely taking the sounds in the moment. It was one of those rare sets that leave a lasting impression long after the last track fades out.

And then, of course, the people. That’s what makes Ombra unforgettable. The openness. The style. The shared love for something deeper than surface-level entertainment. You could dance for hours next to a stranger, and by the end of the night, feel like you’d known them for years. There was no ego, no pretense. Just a deep respect for the music, the moment, and each other.

One of the highlights of the trip was attending the premiere of The First EBM Documentary: A Journey into Electronic Body Music’s Iconic Sound, which featured exclusive interviews with the original pioneers of the 1980s. It was a truly special screening, and afterwards, we had the pleasure of experiencing a powerful set by the legendary Ancient Methods — a perfect continuation of the evening’s energy.

What truly made Ombra stand out, though, was the community.
If you were there, you know. And if you weren’t—well, there’s always next time.
