Essaira has unveiled a new track, “De-Skulled”, from the upcoming album From The Guts of Essaira, which is set to release on 16 February 2025 via Raw Culture. The album will be issued as a 12’’ vinyl limited to 300 copies and features material composed by Essaira between 2023 and 2024.
“De-Skulled” is built around sustained synth textures and industrial rhythm patterns. Layered vocals exist within the flow rather than taking central focus, reflecting the album’s overall sound language as it alternates between drive and pause.
From The Guts of Essaira follows the path announced by the single Dramla / Xirxe, expanding its tensions and exploring a more layered and conscious expressive form. The album is described as a physical, visceral record that works through accumulation and subtraction, strengthened by the interplay between control and release. The ten tracks create a compact journey, alternating between intense, urgent passages and more introspective, sparse moments.
Essaira’s work was composed during a period marked by climatic, political, and cultural instability, and the album captures the experiences and emotions of that time in its sound. The limited vinyl release offers listeners a concentrated and immersive experience, showcasing the physicality and density of Essaira’s music.
